Who handles your information

CJ Training SA is operated by Cornelius Jantjies, a sole proprietor trading as CJ Training SA. Our business/contact address is 7 Gordon Pirrie Crescent, Lyndhurst Park, The Wolds, New Germany, 3610. Cornelius Jantjies is the privacy contact for the business. For privacy enquiries, contact him at cornelius@cjtraining.co.za or 066 197 6666.

Information we collect and why

When you enquire, we collect the contact details and information you provide so that we can respond. At enrolment, we collect the learner’s full first names, surname, ID number and email address, together with the payer’s contact and billing details, selected course, order information and communications supplied. The learner’s names and ID number are required for registration and certification. We use these details to answer enquiries, process orders, verify payments, arrange INTRA course registration, send access information, provide support and keep necessary business records.

Checkout identifies required fields. If essential details are not provided, we may be unable to process the order or register the learner. Please supply accurate details. If you enrol another person, ensure you have authority to provide their information and let them read this notice.

Payments and service providers

Yoco processes card payments on its payment service. Do not send card numbers or card security codes to CJ Training SA by email or WhatsApp. Our order records contain payment status and transaction references rather than full card details.

The learner’s full first names, surname, ID number, email address and selected course are provided to INTRA for registration, course access and certification. INTRA emails the activation code directly to the learner. Domains.co.za provides our website hosting and business email. Learner details are held in our website order records and registration emails. We also store learner records in Google Drive; access to our learner-record folders is restricted to Cornelius Jantjies. WhatsApp processes information when you choose to contact us through that service. Other service providers process information needed to deliver their services. We share information for these purposes or where legally required.

International services

Use of international service providers can involve processing information outside South Africa. For enquiries about the providers handling your information and the applicable processing arrangements, contact Cornelius Jantjies using the details above.

Cookies and website operation

The website uses cookies needed for functions such as your basket, checkout and account login. Hosting and security systems may record technical information needed to operate and protect the site. Third-party payment and communication services have their own privacy notices.

Retention and safeguards

We retain learner registration and certification information only for as long as needed for course administration, certification enquiries, applicable contractual obligations and legal requirements. Supporting invoice, payment and tax records are generally retained for five years from the date the relevant tax return is submitted. Where no return is required, the applicable five-year period generally runs from the end of the relevant tax period. Outstanding returns and relevant audits, investigations, objections or appeals may require longer retention. These tax-record periods do not automatically apply to every learner ID number or enquiry. Records may need to be retained longer for an unresolved dispute, audit or investigation. When information is no longer needed and there is no lawful reason to retain it, it is securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified. We use appropriate access controls and other safeguards to protect it.

Your rights and enquiries

Subject to applicable law and appropriate identity verification, you may ask whether we hold information about you, request access, request correction or deletion where appropriate, and object to processing in circumstances allowed by law. Contact us using the details above. You may also raise a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Marketing

Course-related messages are used to fulfil your order and provide support. Any optional direct marketing must follow applicable law and offer a way to stop receiving it.
